PACT organizes 6th edition of Bootcamp in the fields of eGames and Robotics

In partnership with TE Connectivity , PACT – Parque do Alentejo de Ciência e Tecnologia organizes the 6th edition of Bootcamp , an activity aimed at secondary and higher education communities and which, will focus on the development of digital games with a robotics component.

From the 3rd to the 7th of July, from 9am to 6pm, at the PACT facilities in Évora, young people will learn the principles of coding and robotics, unveil the world of sensors, microprocessors and get to know the basics of game development. To do so, they will develop a robotics project where they will have to create an app to control their robot, together with their group and, on the last day, all projects will be presented.

Participation is paid and the program includes a visit to the TE Connectivity factory – a global leader in the technology industry, the use of a robotics kit, 5 meals and a certificate of participation. Places are limited and registration is open until June 28 and must be made at https://forms.gle/qvpRBQcQDTU96f2f8

“Like what is currently happening outside of Portugal, robotics and the eGames industry are areas that will inevitably become more and more part of our daily lives and will make increasingly important contributions to economic growth, to the national and global scale. It is for this reason that it is essential to train the younger generations in these same areas, which I consider to have an enormous capacity to create value for the region, and to bet on actions that strengthen the relationship between young people and the professional reality in the technological field ”, he says. Soumodip Sarkar, Executive President of PACT.

Bootcamp is part of the eGames Lab project , which is supported by the PRR – Recovery and Resilience Plan, and by the Next Generation EU European Funds.
