The Portuguese consortium eGames Lab will be attending the 1st Economic and Trade Exhibition
China-Portuguese Speaking Countries Economic and Trade Exhibition, which will be held in Macau between October 19th and 22th.
The event, in the former Portuguese autonomous region, will consist of an Exhibition, a Thematic Forum on the Guest of Honor Country, Diversified Parallel Activities, Presentation of the Cultures Characteristic of Portuguese-Speaking Countries, Promotion and Tasting Sessions for Products from Portuguese-Speaking Countries and Consultancies on Professional Services from Portuguese-Speaking Countries.
The main goal of Macau Forum is to develop and strengthen trade and economic relations between China and its other members. Furthermore, the mutual benefits and internal development of China, Macau and the Portuguese-speaking countries are also part of the Forum’s objective. Since Portuguese is one of its official languages, Macau is often used by the Chinese government as a link to promote and consolidate trade and economic relations between China and the eight Portuguese-speaking countries. It is also home to the Forum’s Permanent Secretariat. This linguistic and cultural link with Portuguese-speaking countries is a result of the Portuguese colonization of the Macau region over 400 years ago, which lasted until 1999.
